1) ‘Post Your Vote’, TODAY, 6th February, Post Box outside Hawthorns @1pm

If you have already voted please come along anyway and ‘post’ one of our large A2 envelopes for the cameras.

Remember: once you’ve voted, please look in your emails for ‘You Haven’t Voted? – UCU Industrial Action Ballot?’ – sent on Monday – and follow the instructions. Once you submit your ‘Unique Code’ in the linked-to form, we’ll stop sending you Get The Vote Out branch emails.

If you haven’t yet received your papers or have mislaid them, you can request replacements here: https://yoursay.ucu.org.uk/s3/HEballot

2) Promotion and Progression Proposals – Your Views Sought, and Correction to Email Address

As advertised in last week’s Newsflash, Bristol UCU officers are seeking your views on the proposed changes resulting from the current Review of Progression and Promotion.

For a full account of the proposals, please read our Bristol UCU blog post: ‘‘Progress to Report But Also Areas of Disappointment’: Bristol UCU Promotion and Progression Update’. [link]

Please note the email address for feedback is ucu-office@bristol.ac.uk

3) Casualisation and Wellbeing in Higher Education Survey

A Bristol student is running a survey on casualisation and wellbeing. If you are on a casual contract (including FTCs), please complete this survey, which should take no more than 10 to 15 minutes, and forward the URL to any colleagues also on casual contracts:

The deadline for completion is Sunday 24th February 2019. For those who are willing to contribute further to this research, there is also an opportunity to participate in a short, fully anonymous interview by providing contact details at the end of the survey. Alternatively, please contact Hester at hc13964@my.bristol.ac.uk.

The three candidates for Vice President are:
