1) Bristol UCU Picket Lines, Thursday, 24th February

Picket Lines from 08:30 tomorrow. Picket line supervisors to pick up strike materials from UCU Office, 1d Priory Road from 07:30. Main Picket Line: 5 Tyndall Avenue.
Assemble for joint UCU/Unison Rally for 12:00 noon outside Victoria Rooms.

Local Hardship Fund:

HPTs / TSR staff can claim from the Local Hardship Fund for all lost contact hours on strike days.
Salaried staff (grade J and below or earning under £30,000) will be able to claim from the Local Hardship Fund and the national Fighting Fund, after deductions have been taken from pay packets – we expect this to happen at the end of January 2023

HPT/TSR staff:

claim for any work that you do e.g. teaching, preparation, assessment and related duties (e.g. office hours) from the University/on MyERP
do not claim for anything that they do not do e.g. teaching on a strike day from the University/on MyERP
do not teach or work on a strike day as striking UCU members
claim for any teaching that you did not do because you were striking from our Local Hardship Fund
do not claim for any rescheduled preparation, marking or related duties from the Local Hardship Fund

Today our UCU office in 1d Priory will be open to members and students to make placards and share strike materials.
