1) Pay and Equality Ballot Now Open

The new ballot for industrial action over UCU’s Pay and Equality claim opened yesterday, 15th January, and will close on 22nd February. Watch out for your ballot papers at your registered address, and don’t forget to vote! Further details:

2) General Meeting , 23rd January 13.00-14.00, Arts Complex LT3

Bristol UCU has its first GM of the New Year next week, open to all branch members:

Agenda includes the Pay and Equality ballot, a USS dispute update and a motion summarising branch priorities and campaigns for 2018.

3) Humans. Not Resources. Bristol UCU’s Anti-Casualisation Claim

Bristol UCU and the University of Bristol have released a Joint Statement on Casualisation, which was shared with all staff at the University on Monday.

The statement was point 3 of our Anti-Casualisation Claim.

4) Survey of Academic Related, Professional Staff

UCU is conducting a survey of academic related professional staff to inform the work that UCU and its Academic Related Professional Staff Committee does.
