1. Bristol UCU Members on Strike: Picket, Rally and Donations
So far, we have not been able to reach agreement on withdrawing plans for compulsory redundancies in CALD (Centre for Language and Academic Development), where 45 staff are still at risk. Hope springs eternal that alternative proposals can still be negotiated, but for now we need to be ready for action.
The dispute in CALD has implications for all of us. Members in CALD are defending all our jobs and working conditions. Please join the picket lines and rallies. Bring all Bristol UCU colleagues. Families welcome! We want a large Bristol UCU turnout and a friendly picket and rally.
Wednesday 9th July.
Picket: Richmond Building. 8:30 – 10:30. (Join at any time and stay as long as you are able)
Rally: Victoria Rooms. 11:00 – 11:30 (ish) NB We may need to adjust this time!
