3) Promotion and Progression for academic staff
The University has developed proposals on progression and promotion for academic staff. This is a matter of collective bargaining and an opportunity to shape and respond to these significant proposals. James Thompson will summarise the developments so far, and seek member feedback. 4) Committee on Effective Industrial Action
The Commission for Effective Industrial Action is charged with determining UCU strategy. Set up at UCU National Congress, the Commission is tasked with generating proposals on what UCU needs to do differently, the actions it needs to take to secure better terms and conditions, job security and a pay rise for UCU members. The Commission is looking to hear from Bristol UCU members: what should UCU be doing?
